Empowering Lives Across India

Mitansh Foundation was registered as a public charitable trust on 6 November 2020 in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Born from years of grassroots work that began with the Kavyansh Pustakalay in 2018, we now operate across five focus areas — touching thousands of lives every year.

Our 12A and 80G certifications make every donation tax-exempt. Our CSR registration enables corporate partnerships. NGO Darpan listing keeps us accountable to government oversight.

A Step Toward Humanity

Tamanna

Our flagship awareness program educates citizens about organ donation — one of the most powerful gifts a person can leave behind. Through pledge drives, community booths and partnerships with hospitals, Tamanna turns awareness into action. A single donor can save up to 8 lives and improve dozens more.

Light a Lamp of Knowledge

Kavyansh Pustakalay

Active since 26 March 2018 — long before the trust was even formally registered — Kavyansh Pustakalay is a free library at Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandir, Khadkot Pithoragarh. It provides books, study space, mentorship and competitive-exam materials to children who could never afford them.

Cow Welfare

Sanctuary for the Sacred

Surbhi Gaushala

Native (desi) cow breeds, abandoned strays, and rescued animals find a permanent home at Surbhi Gaushala. We provide daily fodder, veterinary care, clean shelter and special winter provisions. The hills can be unforgiving — we make sure no animal in our shelter goes hungry.

Clean Water

Clean Water, Healthy Life

Amrit Dhara

Pithoragarh hill villages still rely on traditional springs (naulas) — many of which are unsafe or drying up. Amrit Dhara restores these sources, distributes home filters, runs awareness camps on safe water practices, and installs purification systems at government schools.
